I find at this time of year so many people are feeling overwhelmed, by all the demands we have in our lives and the holidays feel like they are just around the corner, which means more to do! When you feel overwhelmed you loose your ability to focus clearly, your clarity fades and you are not happy or producing at your best. None of us have superpowers to get through the lists of things “to do”. What I often tell my clients is to prioritize. Take a few minutes , sit down and look at your list. Figure out what is truly important, not everything has the same level of importance. If it is time oriented like a deadline, it is important, or if you have to be at an event because you are the speaker, it’s important. Decide what is truly important . Once you have shortened your list, focus on getting the tasks done one at a time. When you put your energy into one project or part of a project you will be amazed at how much you can accomplish. When you try to juggle many things all at the same time you typically are only doing a mediocre job on all of them. Focus on one thing at a time you will be surprised at how much you can do and how great you will feel about your accomplishment.
